GOTCHA4LIFE – MANLY TOUCH’S NEW COMMUNITY PARTNER

Manly Warringah Touch Association is excited to announce that Gotcha4Life have joined our Club as our Community Partner.

Our community’s mental health and well-being is extremely important, and now more than ever with the current lockdown being extended, families and businesses are experiencing financial stress, homeschooling pressures, etc. To put in perspective to date in Australia there have been close to 1,000 Covid-19 deaths but there are well over 3,000 deaths by suicide each year.

Gotcha4Life is an Australian mental fitness not-for-profit foundation taking action to engage, educate and empower to end suicide.

“Manly Touch have always prided themselves in having the fittest teams on the touch field, but we want to do more to help engage and improve our members’ mental fitness” said President Manly Touch, Ian Kalms.

“This is a socially responsible, important and positive partnership for Manly Touch members, families and community.” Ian added.

Gotcha4Life will provide a valuable source of information, helpful tips, and tools to use and inspiration for building our member’s mental fitness.

Gus Worland, Gotcha4Life founder said he is extremely excited about the prospect of connecting with the Manly Touch community in a new and dynamic way through the partnership. “Our mission is for everyone to have a Gotcha4Life Mate – a go-to person you can rely on and talk to about anything when times are tough, so no one has to worry alone” he added.

Manly Touch would encourage everyone to get outside and exercise to keep fit, as best you can, and continue to reach out to your touch football mates and others in your community on a regular basis to make sure they are OK. It is important we stay connected during these times. Stay in touch with family and friends, share your feelings with loved ones and trusted people from your community and invite them to share with you. Remember to also take a break from the news and social media.

Please also adhere to the COVID-19 safe guidelines as set out by the current NSW Government guidelines and consider getting vaccinated as soon as possible.
