Overview

Manly Touch football players who want to test their skills beyond the social park level competition are encouraged to trial for our Manly Touch representative teams.

Tournaments

New South Wales Touch Association (NSWTA) has a number of representative events which Manly Touch compete in. These events are:

  • Junior State Cup
  • Senior State Cup
  • Vawdon Cup

Divisions

Opportunities exist for players from under 8’s to over 60’s, with divisions for girls, boys, women, men and mixed.

Manly Touch also enters an Inclusion side into Vawdon Cup.

The Manly Touch Footy Experience

As any past or present representative touch players will tell you, playing for Manly Touch is a rewarding experience in terms of skill development, increased fitness and a fantastic way to increase your network of friends.

Eligibility

To participate in any of the above tournaments you must be a current financial member of MWTA and be playing in a current Manly Touch local competition.

There has been a bit of uncertainty regarding which Manly Touch competitions qualify our players for the various NSWTA representative tournaments, please note that the following applies:

2021 Vawdon Cup

  • Season 2 2020 (Our 2020/21 Senior Summer Comp), OR
  • Season 1 2021 (Our 2021 Senior Winter Comp)

2021 Senior State Cup

  • Season 1 2021 (Our 2021 Senior Winter Comp), OR
  • Season 2 2021 (Our 2021/22 Senior Summer Comp)

2022 Junior State Cup

  • Season 2 2021 (Our 2021/22 Junior or Senior Summer Comp)

Please note that NSWTA define Season 1 as our Winter Comp and Season 2 is our Summer Comp.

Therefore all players wanting to play at the 2020 JSC must play in one of our Summer competitions, either junior or senior.

Please Note: This is NOT a Manly Touch rule but a NSWTA requirement.
