JUNIOR STATE CUP

Overview

The NSW Touch Association (NSWTA) Junior State Cup, held every year in the third weekend of February in Port Macquarie, attracts around 360 teams, with approximately 6,500 players and officials in attendance. Approximately 20,000 people converge on Port Macquarie for a fantastic few days of great touch footy.

This event is when touch football clubs from all over NSW combine to compete at this tournament to become crowned NSWTA State Champions.

In 2019, due to enormous growth, the Junior State Cup was split into Northern and Southern Conferences with finalists progressing to a State Final event.

The Manly Touch Experience

Competing at JSC is a great opportunity for aspiring junior players and a chance to be the best team in the state makes this an amazing weekend of touch footy every year.

Manly Touch enters boys and girls Junior teams ranging from U8s (inclusion of the U8 age category is currently being reviewed by NSWTA) to U18s.

Player Eligibility

To represent Manly Touch at Junior State Cup, you must be a current financial member and have played at least 5 games in our local junior summer competition prior to JSC.

All junior players (parents/guardians) and officials representing Manly Touch at JSC must sign the MWTA JSC Players and Officials Code of Conduct.

Active Kids

As Manly Touch charge an individual based player levy for representative teams parents, we are able to use the Active Kids Voucher system for Junior State Cup.

SENIOR STATE CUP

Overview

The NSW Touch Association Senior State Cup, held every year in the first weekend of December in Port Macquarie, attracts 245 teams, with approximately 4,000 players and officials in attendance. All up approximately 10,000 people converge on Port Macquarie for this fantastic weekend of touch footy.

This event is when touch football clubs from all over NSW combine to compete at this tournament to become crowned NSWTA Senior State Cup Champions.

The Manly Touch Experience

This is a great weekend away with your teammates and a chance to be the best team in NSW which makes this an amazing weekend every year.

Manly Touch are always very well represented at Senior State Cup with mens, womens and mixed teams from U20s to Opens (Premier League) through to seniors sides 30s, 40s, 50s and 55s attending. In recent times Manly Touch have sent 16 senior teams or 224 players plus coaches, managers, referees to Senior State Cup.

VAWDON CUP

Overview

Vawdon Cup is a weekly representative competition conducted by NSW Touch Association. With teams representing affiliates such as Penrith, Parramatta, Cronulla, Easts, Wollongong and Central Coast as well as everywhere in between, Vawdon Cup puts you up against some of the best players in the Country. 

Games are played throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area catering for Open, Senior and Youth divisions. The competition normally has 12 rounds and a final series. 

Games are played weekly on a Friday night with two Sunday double headers. The competition is held from July until October. 

The competition is however still split into skill-based divisions so even a beginner has a place to get started. Manly Touch has fully accredited coaches in charge of each squad which will help improve your knowledge and skills. Trials and training usually commence in early June.

Players must be a minimum of 15 years of age to play in the Opens Divisions and must be between 13 to 17 years of age to play Youth League. 

The Manly Touch Experience

Manly Touch are always very well represented at Vawdon Cup with Mens Premier League; Womens Premier League; Mens Division 1 and 4; Womens Division 1 and 2; two Girls Youth League teams; and an Inclusion side all participating.

Key Dates

This year’s Vawdon Cup will commence in July with Grand Finals being held in October.

Trials will be announced on this website and our Facebook page. We anticipate trials will commence in June.

To represent Manly Touch at Vawdon Cup, you must be a current financial member, be 13 years of age or over and have played 5 games in the local senior winter competition or 5 games in the preceding local senior summer competition.
